Homestay
Homestay provides students with the opportunity to live with an Australian family. As members of the host family, students are introduced to Australian culture and have the best opportunity to use English in everyday situations and to develop language skills more quickly. The minimum stay in homestay is 5 weeks. Most host families are located within 30 minutes travelling time to the city and college by public transport.

A homestay family will help you to settle into your new environment.

Homestay facilities include:

  • Bedroom with wardrobe, desk and bed
  • Negotiated use of kitchen facilities
  • Shared use of bathroom, laundry
  • Negotiated use of telephone and internet

If you choose to live with a homestay family , be sure to let us know if you have special diet or medical considerations.

In 2010 the cost of homestay is $220 per week which includes breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday and breakfast, lunch and dinner on weekends and holidays. This fee is usually paid directly to the homestay family every two weeks.
