This program combines 12 weeks of English language (16 hours per week in the AES 100 Academic English Studies course) and a reduced academic program comprising one or two Certificate IV or Diploma courses. Mixed English Program is offered to students whose level of English language proficiency is IELTS 5.0 (or equivalent). Students who undertake the Mixed Program usually take three semesters to complete their Certificate IV or Diploma. During the first semester, students enrol in the Mixed Program. Upon successful completion of their English studies they then undertake their remaining academic courses over the following two semesters. Students who do not achieve a pass in AES100 at the end of their first semester may need an additional semester studying the Mixed Program. After completing this program, students are not required to undertake further English-language testing (ie IELTS etc). Related links |
