On successful completion of your SAIBT Diploma you will be eligible for entry into an extensive range of bachelor degree programs at UniSA. Flexible start dates and study options No matter what time of the year you receive your results, there is an intake for you at SAIBT. We have three intakes a year in: March, June, October This provides you with increased flexibility in deciding when to start and finish your program and may enable you to fast-track ahead of other students enrolling in the traditional program (for example, if you enrol in October you could enter second year university by July the following year). High levels of academic and personal support Our academic staff will ensure you have access to any advice or support you need to succeed at your studies. There are also weekly 'help-desk' sessions to supplement classes and a free Tertiary Skills Development Program to help with time management, note taking and essay writing. Our Student Counsellor is also available to help with personal issues.
While studying on UniSA’s City East campus, SAIBT students have access to the full range of university services and facilities (eg. computer suites, library services etc.) and are able to familiarise themselves with the campus and university lifestyle, enabling smoother transition into university studies. The City East campus is located in the city centre of Adelaide providing easy and convenient access to the business and commercial heart of the state capital.
SAIBT Diploma programs are delivered and moderated by University of South Australia teaching staff. All our teaching staff are fully-qualified in their field. While studying at SAIBT, you are guaranteed that the highest standards of teaching will be maintained at all times.
Lectures at SAIBT contain an average of only 22 to 25 students, with a maximum of 50. These are complimented by small group tutorials and workshops. In keeping with our supportive approach, SAIBT provides more teaching hours per course. Instead of the traditional three-hour teaching block, SAIBT classes are four-hour sessions giving you almost 30% more class contact time than an undergraduate student in a first year program at university. This extra academic contact allows you to fully develop your knowledge and understanding of each course.
A quality education is the first step to a successful future. While studying at SAIBT, you are guaranteed that the highest standards of teaching are maintained at all times as our programs are delivered by university lecturers and moderated by the University of South Australia. SAIBT is a member of the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET), which is the national body for private vocational and higher education providers in Australia. We report regularly to, and are audited by, government departments to ensure that SAIBT complies with all Australian government legislation and guidelines at both state and federal levels. To ensure that SAIBT provides quality education and services to international students, SAIBT is registered as a Higher Education Provider and we deliver programs in compliance with the Commonwealth Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act. Our institution and programs are also registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
SAIBT Diploma programs are recognised by universities throughout Australia. Our graduates have successfully applied for places at many Australian universities and been granted up to one year’s credit for their studies at SAIBT.
For international students, SAIBT can provide you with one visa for the entire duration of your studies. This includes your English language tuition at CELUSA (if required), your SAIBT program and University of South Australia degree.
Australian students studying a SAIBT Diploma program can apply for financial assistance through the Australian government’s FEE-HELP scheme. This means you don’t have to pay any tuition fees before commencing your studies.
Australian students over the age of 20 can apply to SAIBT as mature age students. Relevant work experience and other study done since leaving school is taken into account and the STAT test is not required. |
